Motley with her flowers

I went to Sally's yesterday and got Finger Paints- Motley!! I really want to put it over black but I choose a dark blue which is China Glaze- first matte. This is three coats of motley but I love the look of it! To do the flower I used a detail brush with acrylic paint and the middle of the flowers is craft glitter. I think they are hexagonal but some a round and some are not even in a shape, they are just cut into somewhat circles with straight edges lol. Do you own any of the Finger Paints flakies, whats your favorite? If not which one do you want?

11 things about me!
1~ I dont like spiny rides or just roller coasters but then again im afraid of heights.

2~ I have horrible allergies and can barely ever breathe out of my nose which means I cant smell very good. lol

3~ Whenever I go on my iPod I always check Facebook and my blog

4~ I am a very visual person.

5~ When I write with my left hand it looks like a 2nd grader but I can do nail art just as good if not better with my left hand.

6~ I really dont like when people dont clean their cuticles, I used to be such a messy painter and not clean them now even if I have a little bit around my cuticle I have to clean it off but I have become a lot neater and never really have to clean around my cuticles.

7~ When I was little like until umm, maybe 3rd grade I wanna say I didnt know the difference between lower case B's and D's.

8~ I have a gum chewing problem especially at school, I pretty much always have a piece of gum in my mouth. lol

9~ My favorite pop is Diet A&W Root Beer.

10~ For clothes I dont really know if I look bad in a color, I just wear whatever color I like. lol 

11~ Going back to my cuticles/around then when I get board I bite the skin around my cuticle, its so gross I know, it just looks gross too.

1~ How long has Nail Polish been an "obsesstion"? I got into nail art in August of 2009 but didnt start following collections until about the begging of 2011

2~ Why did you start your blog? Im not sure why I started my blog... I know I wanted a place for pictures because I was taking it on my phone but then I got a new phone and realized that wasnt going to work. I also saw Polish or Perish's blog(my cousin posted it on my Facebook- first nail blog I ever saw) and thought it was a really cool idea.

3~ What was/is the hardest think about being a new nail polish blogger? Taking pictures was hard for me and still is, especially with the coloring.

4~ What kind of nail art do you love the most at the moment? oooooooh I dont know I guess nails with flowers, glitter and animal prints.

5~ What kind of nail art is most difficult for you, something you are struggling to learn, if anything? hmmm well I guess right now just plain horizontal lines.

6~ What are you 3 favorite brands of nail polish? China Glaze, OPI and Rimmel London Lasting Finish PRO(I wish they had a better color selection though)

7~ What do you like best about being a nail polish blogger? Being able to connect with other people who also have an addiction to nail polish! Also all the helpful tips- everyone is so nice!

8~ How many days ahead do you prepare blog posts- if at all? I dont prepare any posts.

9~ How many fingers do you polish for swatches/taking photos of them? I rarely do swatches but for my nail art thats what I actually wear out so I paint all my fingers and try to take pictures of both hands and post both.

10~ Do you do swatch marathons if the weather is nice and you have the time, to have something fill in "the vault" for late busy days? nope, I think its a good idea but I never really wear just a color and its not really the point of my blog.

11~ What do you prefer to see/read on nail blogs, you can choose more: swatches, nail art, comparisons, DIY ideas, product reviews? nail art for sure! especially hand painted! I like comparisons too.

I hope you all had a great Friday!! I painted my nails Deborah Lippmann- between the sheets then wanted to do something pretty easy for me that I could do fast last night so I chose swirls. I used a detail brush with acrylic paint. Have a fantastic rest of you day!

pink flowers

Hi everyone! I hope you all are having a great day, half way through the week! This week is going by so slow! lol well I did these yesterday but I dont exactly like them.. I dont think there bad I just would have liked something else lol. I used Orly- fancy fuchsia for the pink background and I forgot how much I love this color! For the flowers I used Kiss nail art paints- white, soft pink and a green with no name for the dots. The yellow is China Glaze- lemon fizz. I hope you all have a great rest of your day!(:   

half/quarter circles?

Im not sure what this would be called but I hope you like it anyway! I wanted to add pink to these but at the end I completely and then I put the glitter on more than half my nails once I remembered so oh well lol. This was kinda like the very first nail art designs I did, now I used more than three colors and acrylic paint but still the same idea. Except now I also did almost all circle-ish shapes and when I first did it, it had more straight lines. Oh and excuse my horribly dry cuticles... I reallllyyyy need to moisturize them. Seven things about me:
1- I dont like wearing pajamas or sweatpants out anywhere, I like leggings but sweatpants/pajamas I just dont like id rather throw a pair of jeans on.
2- Whenever I have an eyelash or see the clock at 12:34 I always make a wish... it like never comes true though lol 
3- I like pens way better than pencils.
4- Im very outgoing and sometimes when im talking to my friends I notice im running on about something and have to stop myself.

white roses

I hope you all have had a great Friday! I had such a rough week I am so glad it is the weekend!! Today I decided to finally use this RIP Fantasy Makers by wet n wild- purple potion I have had since Halloween! Its a black base with purple glitter and I really like the consistency and it dried fast plus the color is really pretty- I have nothing like it! It is bumpy from the glitter when it dries but with a top coat it all smooths out! The white is acrylic paint with a detail brush. Have a great rest of your day!(:

Hi everyone!! I hope you all are having a great day! I used the color I got for half off! Its Essie- 767 raise awareness then I used Kiss nail art paints- white, silver glitter, beach pink and soft purple for the stripes. Its not my neatest job but it cant be every time lol(;   

Phoebe has a flower

My first Zoya!! I went to Ulta today and found this in the clearance for $3.99! I also got Renee which is a dark pink, rosy color for the same price, as well as an Essie color but I cant remember the name, its a really pretty light pink. Ok so back to my nails! hahaha This is Zoya- Phoebe and its a matte finish so I just kept it matte with the nail art. I used acrylic paint with dotting tools to do it then put the Icing matte top coat over it all. The matte finish is very interesting and I like it better than I thought I did! I hope you all are having a wonderful day!!(:

Having a problem removing glitter?

Are you having a problem removing glitter? Weather its micro, hexagonal or both. No matter what type of glitter it is, it can be such a pain. Im sure a lot of you know this method but I figured its worth showing because for those of you who dont it makes taking glitter off so much easier! Ok so lets begin! 

Cut strips of tin/aluminum foil it doesnt really matter how big as long as it can wrap around you finger nail about twice.

Start to unroll a cotton ball

Then once its all unrolled..

Rip it half so you have two pieces

Now fold it in half then half again and you have two cotton balls! It actually doesnt take much time and you dont waste cotton balls, I do this a lot when im removing nail polish even if its not glitter.

Continue the process until you have 10 cotton balls

Put 100% pure acetone on a cotton ball

Push the cotton ball over your nail

Wrap your nail in the tin foil- I just wrap it about twice then fold over the top. Make sure its really tight so it doesnt fall off. Its a bit tricky at first and when you have one had tin foiled while doing the other one is hard lol but you get the hang of it. Kinda hahahaa 

Leave it on for about three minutes. The longer you leave it the less glitter will be left over when you pull it off. I like to hold the bottom really tight then while pulling up go back and fourth(left and right).

Then youll see whats left in the tin foil/cotton ball if you choose to unroll it lol(;

Just take a cotton ball and clean off what was missed and depending on the glitter and how long you leave it on nothing will be!

rainbow collection!

I have had this for such a long time like since it came out! I really wanted to do something glittery so I went with this and loved it! I tried to do some nail art in the corner with black but it looked weird so I just washed it off and left it like this for two days! Then last night I added a sheer coat that you would use for a french manicure base and it looked like this-

I liked it better without the sheer polish over it but I wanted to try it out to see what it looked like! The white I used was Revlon- white on white and the glitter was two coats of OPI- rainbow collection. Have a fantastic rest of your day!(:

Peacock!

Hi everyone! I hope your having a great day! Today I got my contacts!! Im  so excited, I have them in know and they are perfect! It took since November to get them and have the right prescription but it all worked out! So yay! I also got my flu shot today, productive stuff going on today lol. Anyway last night I did these peacock nails! My sister gave me the idea and for my first try I think they came out ok! I want the feather-ness longer and the middle smaller I think, and the shape of the feathers. So you all will probably see them again in the future! If you would like to know a color let me know!(:

I think I'm out of ideas...

I have am so out of ideas! I dont know what to do to them, I feel like I have done everything hahahaa. I chose to do the good old handy dandy leopard print lol. I used Rimmel London lasting finish pro- wild orchid and this is only one coat, not even being careful! The lighter purple is Revlon top speed- lily and the black is acrylic paint with a detail brush. Have a great rest of your day!!(:    

I miss summer- water marbling

Hi everyone! I got Essie- haute as hello from a giveaway I won by the Konad Addict and she is having a giveaway now! I actually did a post about it in August which you can see here, I got to pick four Essie nail polishes but this one was on back order so it came earlier in December. As I was deciding on what to do to my nail I wanted to use this and brighten things up since its so cold out and I havent wore anything like it in a while! I miss the hot weather, I want to go to the beach lol and I thought this might help(; Anywayyy I obviously used Essie- haute as hello and I used Sally Hanson complete salon manicure- frutti petutie, NYC Long Wearing nail enamel- french white tip and over the water marble I put China Glaze- white cap. I kinda wish I didnt put white cap over it because I think it looked better without it but oh well lol. I hope you all are having a great weekend!(:

Fashionable Friday!

I hope you all are having a great Friday! This is a guest post for Maryanne, she has two blogs one is called Crafty Mommy Diva and thats the blog I guest post for every month on the first Friday. She has a lot of great posts and her kids are adorable! Her other blog is Scrappy Gifts  and she has really cute ideas on there! Check it out if your interested! So Fashionable Friday is when I show step by step how to do a design! Let get started!(:

First paint your nails with a base coat then any color you want. I chose Revlon scented parfume- not so blueberry.

Start making the shape of the flower petal. You can use a small paint brush, striper, old eye liner brush anything that works for you I used Rimmel London French White Tip pro which is a little striper.

Fill it in.

Make another petal and continue the same process until you have three petals.

I outlined my petals but you can skip this step if you just wanted to keep it a bit simpler. I used Kleancolor nail to toe nail art decoration- black onyx.

Then make some lines in the petal I used Kleancolor nail to toe nail art decoration- baby lavender.

Lastly put a middle to your flower and your done with the flower! I put some dots coming out of the flower to just add a little something more lol.
