Leopard print

I have done leopard print before and I liked it better the last time I did it but thats ok. The color for the actually leopard I used Piggy Polish- GOLD for it! then for the inside of the spots I mixed Kleancolor- dark brown, Santee nail art- copper brown and Sinfulcolors nail art- morning breath. To outline the spots I used Kleancolor- dark brown. To make the spots I used a dotting tool and then to outline the spots I used a detail brush. Then I added some gold glitter which was an Art Deco- gold glitter. Also I tried to do like a fading with the leopard spots but that didnt work out so well it just looks like a blank spot in the corner.

Polka Dots with a pink bow

Today I was inspired by my pajama pants! They are black and white polka dots and the band is a darker pink color with gold stitching in the pink. So on my nails I did black and white polka dots with a pink bow with gold glitter. The black is LA Colors- black velvet, white is Pure Ice- super star!. On the bow the pink and the darker pink are Acrylic paints. Then on top of the bow I added a little bit of gold glitter which was an Art Deco- silver glitter. Hope you like it!

Shatter!

This time I didnt even paint a design all I did was paint the nail polish on like a regular nail polish! First what I did was painted one coat of white that was Wet n Wild wild shine- french white creme then I painted Sinfulcolors- pink lastly on top of that I put Sinfulcolors- fusion pink. I made sure to let everything dry because the nail polish I used actually said not to put this nail polish straight on your natural nail but to make sure the nail polish you do put it completely dry. The nail polish to do this crackle/shatter effect is OPI- black shatter that just came out with the Katy Perry collection. All you do is paint the black shatter over your nail and as it dries it shatters! My mom also used this on her nails and here is what it came out looking like.....
Her bottom color was Santee- silver purple.

Essence colour & go- choose me!

Today I painted my nails really simple because I am really liking this color. It is Essence colour & go- choose me!. All I did was made stripes/lines come out from the corner of my nail using a black and white Stripe Rite. Then I just put a little bit of glitter with an Art Deco- silver glitter. This color was kinda of hard to get a good picture of and sorry for the really pink fingers im not sure why my camera did that. Here are some more pictures....

This color is also a dupe for Zoya- Charla, Orly- halleys comet, OPI- catch me in your net and Jesse's Girl- glee. I hope this helped! :)

Lace inspired and swirs

First I did my ring finger and I made the flower then added circles around it and thats what it came out looking like....im not sure where the flowers went but im starting to like it a little now. So I just did the other ring finger the same and then I did some swirls because I though it matched the theme of the design. I used Pure Ice- super star! first then I put one coat of Sally Hansen Xtreme wear- celeb city the white just brightened up the silver. Then I started to do the design with black Acrylic paint and a detail brush. Lastly I put a top coat which was Icing matte nail polish- matte about you (I think it weird when two nail polishes have the same name but different brands like Essie has a matte top coat also and the name of that is also "matte about you").
I was inspired to do this nail art by my phone case which is kind of a lace design.

Essence stampy set

I did a post on this in the summer but I never actually showed how it works or if it really does work what.
It comes with:
 Scraper
Stamper
Image Plate
What to do:
1st
paint your nails a color of your choice I picked a a couple different colors to show what it looks like.
 2nd
Pick another color I suggest a contrasting color to your base color.
3rd
scrape the excess nail polish with the scraper.
4th
with the stamper pick up the image but put a lot of pressure when your pushing down.
5th
roll the image onto your nail also adding a lot of pressure then add a top coat and you can be done!
OR continue adding

As you can see this isn't great sometimes the design does not transfer all the way but if you use a pigmented enough nail polish its great! For the price which is $1.00-$3.00 at Ulta I think it works very well and if you can't really do designs by painting it then this will be perfect for you! But on black nothing but white or a really thick pigmented color shows up, well for me at least.

French Tip Manicure with feather like design

Today I did a French Tip Manicure. Fist I put one coat of Sally Hansen Insta-dri: quick sand then I put three coats of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails: sheer vanilla. Then I outlined the line for my tip with a Stripe Rite: white then filled it in with Wet n Wild Wild Shine: french white creme. With Orly Instant Artist: sky blue I made three lines going out feathering (making it thicker at the base of the stripe then thinner at the end), Stripe Rite: silver I did the same as I did with the blue, and a 2 way nail art pen and brush: silver glitter to go over the blue and silver. I put a top coats and thats it!
Thank you Maryanne for giving me a stylish award!! Go follow her at Scrappy Gifts and at Crafty Mommy Diva she is amazing!!

Turquoise glitter fading

I think im a day late but thats not to bad. Last night I just did a turquoise back ground with blue and purple glitter fading with four dots on the side. The turquoise is Wet 'n' Wild Wild Shine- Caribbean frost then the three different glitters are Pure Ice- strapless(blue glitter), the purple glitter was Kleancolor- sparkle purple. I also used Sinfulcolors- frenzy because it was a mix of blue and purple glitter. Lastly I put four white dots going along the side of my nails using Pure Ice- super star.

Zig Zags

Zig Zags? I'm not sure what to call these but I guess zig zags will work for now. I think for Fashionable Friday next month I am going to show how to do this but maybe not we will see what happens...the purple I used for my base color is Sinfulcolors- dream on. Then for the stripes I used Wet n Wild- caribbean frost with a detain brush (I have been spelling Wet n Wild wrong instead of a "n" I was putting an & sign so sorry) Rimmel London- french white nail tip linner, Orly Instant Artist- sky blue and Kleancolor nail to toe nail art decoration- baby lavender. Then I put silver glitter on the lines going across my nail using Pure Ice- beware. Hope you like it!

3 color fading with zebra print

Today I did a 3 color fading effect with zebra print and glitter. You can see it better on my thumb nail.
First I put a white so I only had to go over the colors one time which was Pure Ice: super star! Then I started sponging the pink Wet&Wild: lavender creme. Then I sponged the purple NYC long-wearing nail enamel: purple pizzazz frost then I sponged Sally Hansen Xtreme wear: blue me away. Then I put one coat of Sally Hansen Diamond Strength: diamonds which is a glitter. Then I made the zebra print using an Art Deco: black. On the zebra print I put a little bit of silver glitter on random spots using a 2 way nail art pen and brush: silver glitter. I added a top coat and was done!

Roses

Today I painted roses in the upper corner of my nail with some glitter over it. I chose to use a red-ish pink-ish color on my nails and that color is Borghese: belissima rose (I made a rose on a color with rose in the name how funny). Then to make the roses I used a white Stripe Rite and a 2 Way Nail Art Pen and Brush thats silver glitter and Wet&Wild: sparked with a detail brush. What I like about these roses that I actually painted on a piece of paper a while ago and thats what made me want to do it on my nails but I like that if you mess up you cant really tell, all you do is make little squiggly lines in a circle.

Stained glass

I painted like a stain glass design on my nails last night and I really do like it I was impressed on how good it came out! I think I also like it because its very colorful and I think I have been doing kind of boring designs. I hope you like it also! First I painted my nails white using Pure Ice: super star! then I made random lines to make different shapes using Kleancolor: dark brown using a detail brush. Then using the detail brush again I just filled in the shapes using Wet&wild: sunny side up (orange), Pure Ice: siren (red), Ulta salon formula: sun-sation (yellow), Maybelline Wet Shine: pink crush, Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme wear: emerald city, Piggy Polish: blue me a kiss, Sally Hansen Insta-dri: lively lilac. Then once it all dyed I went over the brown lines in a black Strip Rite. I put a top coat to make every thing shiny like the glass and was done! :)

hot pink with black swirls and dots

I did a hot pink back ground with black swirls and dots. Yes its winter and normally I wouldnt paint my nails a bright color but I guess I was really in the mood. First I put one coat of white which was Pure Ice: super star! then I put one coat of Sinfulcolos: fusion pink lastly I put one coat of China Glaze: pink voltage (neon). For the black I used LA Colors: black velvet with a detail brush. I put the coat of white first because having that white base makes bright/neon colors stand out or brighter then they would be without it. If you used a black base the pink wouldnt be as bright it would have like a purple-ish undertone from the black and probably not as much of a neon depending on how pigmented the nail polish is.

Plaid inspired

I did these yesterday night so I kinda smeared it and its a little sloppy but its not to bad...I used Maybelline salon expert- cutie pink except I dont think they are selling it anymore but its just a basic pink every brand sells it. Fot the black lines I used 2 different stripers for the thicker lines I used Art Deco- back and a black Strip Rite for the thinner lines. I added a matte top coat from Icing. I think im going to try this again some time hopefully neater.
